Wedding Videographer Dublin – Wedding Showcase – Springfield Hotel

The Wedding Day Showcase of the year was on Sunday 23rd October 2011 in the Springfield Hotel, I had a stand at the showcase representing Wedding Videography.

I had the pleasure of meeting several couples who were planning there wedding’s, there was a great crowd and any couple who booked their wedding and paid a deposit were entered into a draw for a free wedding in the Springfield Hotel, so, as you can imagine the tensions were high waiting on the result, Congratulations to the winning couple.

The air was electric and all the couples were busy chatting to all the suppliers who were there, all the suppliers were there giving free advice and tips to everyone.

The Springfield Hotel put a lot of work into the day and a big thanks to the banqueting team Barry O’ Sullivan and Kathleen Halbrook for having everything working like clock work, a big thanks also to the owner Ger Hannigan who put up the prize of a free wedding.

The backdrops and chair coverings were stunning and they were done by Fiona from Candle Light Weddings.

There were a lot of suppliers at the Showcase, The Wedding Photographers were Paddy Burke from Burke Photography and Paul Andrews from Paul Andrews Photography and yes myself Cyril Fox from Video Me as the Wedding Videographer.

The wedding bands were John from the On The Upside Band who plays regularly there for weddings and Matt & Ronan from the Boogie Wonderland and outside you had Terry Flanagan showing a lovely selection of Gold Cars and he has now added a silver addition Beauford.

The showcase was nail biting for many.

Corporate Videographer – Gaisce Gold Awards 29’th September 2011

I was the videographer at the Gaisce Gold Awards on 29’th September 2011. The President’s Award is Ireland’s very own National Challenge Award, the country’s most prestigious and respected individual award programme and a challenge from the President of Ireland to the youth of Ireland. The purpose of the award is to encourage young people to set and achieve a demanding challenge for themselves in each of four different areas as follows: Community Involvement, Personal Skills, Physical Recreation and Venture Activity.

This year’s Awards are particularly special in that this is the last group of gold medal winners to be honoured by President Mc Aleese as she steps down from her second term as President, she said that it had been a tremendous experience for her honouring Ireland’s youth over the past 14 years.

The day started with the Garda Band playing to the large crowd setting the tone for the day.
